2019 look back
When I look back at 2019, I can say it was a great year, it was a year of #growth. I remember how excited, nervous, curious, anxious, self-managing, anticipating I was on January 4, 2019, I was on a journey from Calgary to Nouakchott, Mauritania (Western Africa).
I knew I would be living in a mine camp for 16 weeks across a span of 12 months. I would be supporting the #leadershipdevelopment of a group of 25 #emergingleaders for a Canadian #Goldmining company that has an open-pit mine in the middle of the Sahara.
I also knew, I will be meeting in Paris, Ellis Ritz my colleague on that contract and he will be a good support for me, beyond that he became a mentor. I was totally outside my #comfortzone with so many questions about measures of success, life and work conditions…
One thing I was sure of was that I needed to be on my A game this was the opportunity I had been dreaming for. Now, based on my observations, participants’ surveys and feedback from management, it is a mission accomplished. What will bring you outside your comfort zone today ? I am sharing an article about #Neuroscience on INC.com that is related to learning and being outside of our comfort zone . Enjoy!
